WHAT WE DO
Pytheas’ Path supports and runs programs that allow refugees to foster their own independence, and establish themselves as a productive member of society. This includes supporting programs that foster personal development, and making life a little easier so that they can prioritise their development over having to concern themselves with basic needs, that we take for granted.
GENDER
WHO ARE OUR PARTICIPANTS?
We support a diverse range of people. Almost all are either fleeing violence (from countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Somalia) or repression in some form (Iran, Pakistan, and Sudan). They are primarily male, and almost always young.

OUR PROGRAMS

ENGLISH LESSONS A1-C2
English is recognized as the most common language used throughout the European Union, making it invaluable when working towards establishing independence in Greece, or the EU. To help you unlock new opportunities, we offer English lessons ranging from beginners to advanced skills (A1 - C2).

EUROPEAN COMPUTER DRIVING LICENSE
The ECDL provides a range of certifications for computer skills. One of our teachers, a refugee himself, is teaching ECDL classes to our community. Students will spend five hours a week in computer labs that have been set up by the Jafra NGO in order to build IT skills that are widely applicable to many jobs across the EU.

BUSINESS MENTORING
Establishing a business provides many opportunities in creating a self-sufficient lifestyle within the EU, and microloans provided by Pytheas' Path will help you in the first steps of getting your business started. Understandably, there are risks involved with starting a new business, so we offer mentorship from existing business owners to help guide and assist you through the early stages of set up.
